This study focuses on discussing the knowledge systems and language phenomena

which are developed from the viewpoints of human body. In varied languages in the

world, the templates of spatial orientation include celestial bodies, landscape, and body

parts, in which, the terms of spatial orientation for body parts hold a major proportion.

各位同學，這是這堂課主要的上課內容，雖然只有1學分而已，就那短短的八節課。

我們這學期已經修完了，我們班上有5位同學有選修這門課~

這堂課只需要繳交一份學習心得即可，沒有考試，老師是在聯合國工作十幾年，現已退休的譯者，課堂上老師會跟大家分享許多聯合國翻譯工作的心得，頗為受用。

以下為我們幾位同學課後的學習心得：

自民國76年政府解嚴以來，入出國境之管制措施逐步解除。隨著經濟自由化、政治民主化及社會多元化，國民經濟日益增強，國人視界逐漸與國際接軌，促使我國與國際間貿易、文教、旅遊之廣泛交流。

民國81年更開放大陸配偶來台居留及定居，及仲介東南亞國家婚姻之媒合業者興起，使得國人與外國人（尤其東南亞地區）婚配情形逐年增多，由於婚姻移民人數日增，新台灣之子人數亦不斷增加，然外籍與大陸配偶或因教育程度偏低、或因結婚年齡偏低等因素，造成對我國的人口結構、數量與婚姻、家庭、社會、國家之重大變化，更對我國未來發展造成了後續性的影響。（謝立功等，2005）

Since the Taiwan government declared the end of martial law in 1987, it has gradually lifted the control measures on entry and departure the country. With economic liberalization, political democratization and social diversification, the national economy has grown rapidly. As Taiwanese people have gradually become more international in their outlook, international trade, cultural exchange, and tourism have flourished.

In 1992, the government loosened regulations on the immigration of spouses from Mainland China. “Bride to order” business bringing brides from South East Asian countries to Taiwan have sprung up. As a result, marriages between Taiwanese and aliens (especially from South East Asia) have gradually increased, as have also the offspring from them.  Owing to factors such as foreign or mainland spouses being less well educated or younger than Taiwanese spouses, these marriages have brought major changes in the structure and size of the population, in the institution of marriage, the family, society and the nation that will continue to exert an influence on future development. Indigo is extracted from Indigo plant, but its color is bluer than the plant. This expression is used to describe that a student’s achievement is greater than his/her teacher, or someone’s performance tops what has been done in the past.

In Southern and Northern Dynasties, Li Mi became Kong Fan’s apprentice. A few years past, Li Mi’s knowledge surpassed his teacher, Kong Fan. Sometimes when Kong Fan ran into difficulties, he would ask Li Mi for advice, but this behavior embarrassed Li Mi. “Do not feel embarrassed,” Kong Fan sincerely told Li Mi. “Anyone who has expertise in a certain area can be my teacher, so can you.”

People were touched by this much-told tale about how Kong Fan modestly consulted with his student. Someone in the later generations wrote a song to praise Kong Fan’s attitude of not being ashamed to ask for advice:

Then comes the cultivation of the being from which whatever you have to say comes. It doesn't just come out of nowhere, it comes out of a great curiosity. The main thing, of course, always is the fact that there is only one of you in the world, just one, and if that is not fulfilled then something has been lost.

Ambition is not enough; necessity is everything. It is through this that the legends of the soul's journey are retold with all their tragedy and their bitterness and sweetness of living. It is at this point that the sweep of life catches up with the mere personality of the performer, and while the individual becomes greater, the personal becomes less personal. And there is grace.

其次是培養生命的內涵，你想呈現或表現的任何一個肢體動作，皆透露出你個人的生命內涵。追求它必須要有強烈的企圖心(求知慾)，因為它絕不會是憑空出現。當然，成敗關鍵取決於你，無人取代且獨一無二的你。倘若跳舞的人未具有豐富之生命內涵及歷練，其所呈現的舞蹈必將無法盡善盡美。
